Gezonde hoeven zijn belangrijk voor een soepele stap van het paard. Biotine wordt aangemaakt door micro-organismen en planten, daardoor komt het in verschillende voedingsmiddelen voor, maar in het algemeen in lage concentraties. Een toevoeging van Biotine aan de voeding versterkt en beschermd de buitenwand van de hoeven. Biotine zorgt voor een sterke hoornstructuur, goede hoefgroei en een betere conditie van kroonrand,  stralen en hoefballen. Healthy hooves are important for the horse to be able to walk smoothly.
